Case standards guide the production and manufacture of shipping cases and in highly critical operations including the military as well as domestic fire and safety operations. We produce cases that meet or exceed critical standards, especially those set by two powerful and highly regarded bodies with exacting specifications: the US Military and the Air Transport Association.
Military standard cases:
The Military provides exacting standards guiding the manufacture and deployment of cases used by the military. Adherence to or exceeding of these standards virtually guarantees the safety and security of items you ship or store in any case purchased form Ameripack. We adhere to a number of military specs in the manufacture of any case we produce.
Some examples of military specifications that apply to our products include:
MIL-C-4150J is a military standard covering cases used in transit and storage, and includes specifications covering waterproofing and vapor proofing. This specification establishes the requirements for rigid, reusable, fire retardant, waterproof and water-vaporproof, rectangular cases manufactured from ferrous or non-ferrous metals or non-metallic materials. Essentially, this military standard ensures that a case is watertight, dust-tight and even submersible, among other things.
MIL-STD-648C is a military standard intended as the basic reference document for all shipping case performance requirements. Compliance with this specification is expected through normal application of the specification or standard preparation and revision processes.
These are only a few military standards that Ameripack rises to in our case production.

ATA Standards
ATA's standard for shipping cases is called the ATA 300 Category 1 spec, entailing that the case is tested to withstand the rigors of 100 shipments by air, including transport, takeoff, landing, in-flight jostling, turbulence and other typical factors. The specs ensure that the case remains airtight and watertight.
These come from the Air Transport Association (ATA), the powerful, highly regarded organization that sets standards for air transportation. The ATA exerts powerful influence on all air policies and regulations concerning air transportation and demands the highest standards of safety and security.
Organizations purchasing ATA Standard cases also benefit from cases' meeting of other criteria. ATA standards can also cover moldings, casters, closings and dimensional requirements. Thes standards help ensure that important goods, sensitive technologies and mission-critical equi[pment receives the best possible care during flights and other deployments. It means your goods are packed in the mst durable shipping containers available, period.
