Designed originally for Electronic News Gathering (ENG) personnel who need their electronic equipment to arrive when they do, SatRack is a lightweight solution that can be hand carried on commercial airlines as checked luggage, saving time and avoiding additional baggage charges.

The body shell is constructed from thermo-formed 3/8” (10mm) honeycomb polypropylene (HPP). HPP has a high strength to weight ratio and is non-crushable. The HPP body shell is encased within a 1/8” (3mm) HDPE foam jacket which helps to insulate the rack and offers cushioning to create a ‘carry friendly’ piece of ruggedized luggage.

The outer cover is made from 1000 denier texturised nylon, an abrasion and weather resistant material that is tear proof and will not rot. Ventilation panels help to keep equipment cool during operation in warmer climates.

To protect equipment against shock and vibration, the internal 19” chassis is shock mounted on 8 bi-angled elastomeric anti vibration mounts (45 shore). These are angled to absorb vibration and shock regardless of the orientation of the impact or drop.

• Supplied with stainless steel sliding, floating, captive 10/32 caged nuts allowing easy fitting of equipment

• Rack frame is suspended by eight elastomeric anti-vibration mounts which provide 1.5 inch (40mm) of “sway” space between the rack and body shell

• Heavy duty flag stitching around handles resists tearing under strain

• Heavy duty YKK No. 10 zips and pullers fitted to front and rear access panels which can be padlocked

• Heavier equipment can be further secured with optional support shelves fitted above and below

• Additional ventilation using optional small axial fans

• Wide range of colors available
